STANDINGS thru Sweet 16 - CRO IN DEAD LAST

Standings are in and boy did they deliver!  After the Sweet 16, we find our pal Cro residing in absolute dead last.

This has to be absolute worst showing in the 13 year history of the ABCI.  While his outlandish picks would have certainly won him the title had they come to fruition, we can't help but wonder if maybe out tournament's namesake just isn't up to the task.  It's way more fun when he's competitive.  This just feels like Shaq in prime against all else.  That formula over at crotistics.com is going to require some off-season tinkering.

29 out of our 30 entries had been cut off going into the Gonzaga v Syracuse matchup.  Meaning, only 1 bracket had either the Zags or the Orange in the Elite 8.  That bracket belongs to none other than Catherine Brooking!  Her bracket continues to amaze.  If Wisconsin was able to close the deal against Notre Dame, she would be even higher.  I couldn't imagine of Wisconsin kept their run going.  She would most likely have won the entire pool.

Tonight's games have some significant implications to the standings.  Elite 8 games are worth 10 points and you'll continue to see some shake-ups.  Most brackets have Kansas and Oklahoma in the Final Four.  By my count, only 7 brackets have Villanova and 5 brackets have Oregon.

And even more surprising, only 1 bracket has both Villanova AND Oregon.  Can you guess who?  Catherine Brooking!

A Villanova win over Kansas tonight would ensure Cro's last place finish;  Kansas is the only team he has left.

STANDINGS thru March 24th

Woody still leading the way with an impressive 70 after going 4 for 4 last night.

Deege Larrimore is a pretender.  Had Michigan State winning it all.  You'll see him plummet shortly.

Cro continues to flounder with the likes of Nico T and David Weissman.  He's down to his last final 4 team in Kansas.  A last place finish isn't out the realm of possibility just yet.  If Nova takes down Kansas tomorrow, he'll be out of points.  A whopping 48 points.

Catherine Brooking remarkably still has 3 final four teams left!  As soon as she submitted, I knew it was good enough to beat Cro.  It's in her DNA.  Welcome aboard young one!

Lots of UNC and Virginia tonight.  Next to zero Indiana, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Gonzaga, Syracuse.  So don't expect too much movement tonight.
